My idea of marriage is not fully formed, probably because I come from a single-parent family. I don't know what marriage is all about, but I'm thinking now that it's less of a cure for lonliness, and more of companionship.
The longings I've had for a wife now look less like things a wife can fill.
Those feelings of lonliness or completeness look like something for God to fill/heal. Comments?

Loneliness and being alone are two different things. You can be lonely and still be married (don't worry - I'm not lonely). However, you are right, IMHO, to assume that GOD has to be the one to heal the hurts of loneliness. If you look to a spouse to do that, you'll be disappointed. But I also know that He has the perfect wife for you out there somewhere, Chris! Hang in there, man. It'll happen. Keep your eyes on Jesus and next thing ya know, that woman of your dreams will show up and dazzle you. :)
Thanks for the encouragement!
