Where else is there to go but to God?
What could be better than living in obedience to Him?

You need to find yourself before you go asking God to find you for you. You have great expectations about obedience and how it is going to make you happy. Unrealistic, my good fellow.
If obedience won't make me happy, what will? Where do you suggest I look for happiness? And how do I find myself?
For now I'll go by this:
Mat 10:39 Whoever finds his life wil lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Where else is my identity except in Christ?
What do you think I am missing?
Does my seeking hapiness/fulfilment/identity solely in obedience to God seem unbalanced? Do you think I'm ignoring common sense?
My point is to live life in reckless abandon to God.
I aim to live in radical submission to God's will. -- Won't that lead me to my identity?
Maybe I'm not catching your meaning, please elaborate.
